Hawaii District Superintendent Rev. Moonyoung Lee brings a wealth of gifts and grace to the District Superintendency.  After earning a Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Irvine (Irvine, CA), Rev. Moonyoung earned a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology (Claremont, CA).  Prior to her current appointment at Wilshire UMC, she has also served as Pastor of St. Paul’s UMC (Torrance, CA) and Wayside UMC (Carson, CA). Currently, she serves on the West District Committee on Ordained Ministry and the Cal-Pac Orders Executive Team of the Board of Ordained Ministry.

Connectionally, Moonyoung has served as Secretary of the National Federation of Asian American United Methodists (NAFAUM) as well as Secretary of the National Association of Korean American United Methodist Pastors Serving Cross-Racial & Cross-Cultural Appointments (NAKAUMPSCRA). And, currently, she serves as a member of the General Commission on Religion and Race’s Cross-Racial, Cross-Cultural Strategy Team (CST) as well as Vice President of the National Association of Korean American United Methodist Clergywomen (NAKAUMC).
